It is 4.11am and while I am excited about the trip there is still so much to be done - hence the difficulty in sleeping!
Winning the Riverland Athletics Championship for the 35th year in succession on Wednesday was one 'job' that can now be crossed off the 'To Do' list. It was such a good day and coaches and athletes can feel well satisfied with their efforts.
This weekend will be jam packed with marking of drafts, marking of completed work and setting of relief lessons for the 3 school days we are away. It will be a pity to miss out on Adelaide Aths but Calgary is calling!
Our coordinator at the Calgary end, Colleen Bratko, is doing a wonderful job matching up our focus areas with what the Calgary Board of Education has to offer. They are going through a period of exciting change so there will be plenty to discuss and share. Thank goodness there are 3 of us to take in all the information!
I confess to being a little concerned about the Calgary weather forecast, it looks like we could have snow! Normally that would be appealing but not when you're driving the rental car, on the wrong side of the road, in vastly different weather conditions and relying on your fellow travellers for navigation instructions. Wish us well! It is now 4.26am and sleep seems even more unlikely! Maybe I'll just start on some drafts!
what an exciting adventure you will all have. I am looking forward to hearing all about your trip and will be following this blog daily.
ReplyDeletePlenty of time to sleep on the plane.
